Is there anything like Crimson Editor for Ubuntu?

Asked by Des

I have to use Crimson Editor for my programming class and I want it on my laptop so I can sit on my couch for hours at a time and not in a chair. Is there anything comparable to Crimson Editor?

Answer to your question is yes, there are a number of editors that can be used. Many are similar to Crimson Editor.

Of course, Crimson Editor is Winbloz only. So, if you "have to use Crimson Editor", then the answer is no.

Google is your friend as well as your "Synaptic Package Manager" found under System -> Administration...

Inside SPM you should find sections such as "developement", "editors", and "world wide web".

Hope this helps...

As an aside, I'll mention that you should probably be able to install/run Crimson itself using "Wine" if you're hell bent on using that. Not that I recommend that path however - I agree with the previous poster, - find a native Linux editor that you like and learn/use that. Heck, even "gedit" is reasonable. (What language are you doing?)

Can you help with this problem?
