Webcam & Headset

Asked by NakiMum

Hallo there, me AGAIN. . . well, I've got my inexpensive USB webcam going and it works with Egika and Cheese but not with Skype. On skype it gives me a 'green-ish' screen but no visual. The headset that I got with the webcam doesn't work on Egika or Skype, but I can listen to music from my files. Thank you to all of you that has helped so far and to those who are still going to help me in the future.

Your audio device taken from previous questions is:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

Try the following to get it working:

$sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
add that line :
options snd-hda-intel enable=1 index=0 model=fujitsu

save alsa-base, and do a :
$sudo /etc/init.d/alsa-utils restart
