Made Ubuntu look like Windows XP, but now I can't change it back.

Asked by The Blob

I'm always looking for new, cool looking themes for my computer. A few days ago, I decided to try to make Ubuntu look as much as Windows XP as possible. I came across this website that did just that. http://ubuntu.online02.com/xpgnome I downloaded the file like it said, and installed it and everything. It worked. The icons, menu bars, everything looked like Windows XP. But now I want to change it back to the original Ubuntu look. But how? On the website it said there is no easy way to change it back. It all must be done manually. Well, where do I start to get my computer back to the original Ubuntu theme? I've tried adjusting settings in the Appearance box, but it only changes the colors, not the actual menu bars. I looked around in Add/Remove programs and can't find anything in there. I thought it was just a simple theme file that I could easily change. I didn't know that it was an "Im-gonna-change-your-whole-computer-and-not-let-you-change-it-back" type of thing. I'm new to Ubuntu, and I'm willing to give it a try. Think you guys can help? Thanks.

To change your menu bar, right click on your menu bar (windows startup icon if your theme change to win xp), choose remove, and then right click again, to add your new menu bar, you can choose standart menu bar, and your menu bar will be back to original ubuntu

To change the icon, open the Appearance, if you can't see icon tabs in there, clik costumize, just search for icon tab, and then you can simply change your icon

Thanks ^-^
