Renaming tabs in yakuake

I'm using a Quake-style KDE terminal called yakuake. But in Ubuntu it misses one useful feature - renaming tabs automatically according to the current directory name.
I've found a useful patch to solve this problem:
* http://ota.tr.spt.fi/~fisu81/stuff/konsolescripts/yakuake-getSessionName.diff

I suppose it's rather stupid to recompile yakuake every time it's updated in repos, but I don't know how to contact the developers of this program.
Maybe it's possible to include this patch in Ubuntu package? If so, I need to contact the developers?
