Pulse audio in jaunty

Asked by Shane Fagan

Pulse audio uninstalled itself on upgrade to jaunty and when I try to reinstall it, synaptic gives an error and says that it depends on libasound2-plugins but its not going to be installed.
I was just wondering was there a work around for the conflict yet?

Same for me is quite normal on a developer release... simply please wait the next upgrades...

Are you able to login into Gnome with Jaunty...?

Thank you

30 minutes after my answer i was able to install pulseaudio.... and make login again into Gnome

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

BTW my solution was to login in Ubuntu using the KDE session...

Hope this helps
