you can test to see weather your hardware is supported by downloading and burning the ubuntu live cd (or ordering a free cd), if you boot it up and it works fine then you can install it from the live cd.

I have a live cd that I used to install ver 8.10 on a different box. I have this mother board that I want to build into another system if it is supported.

there is such a large variety of hardware available that its impossible to give a 'yes' or 'no' answer to this, we can not test ubuntu on every piece of hardware out there. you are best off doing some searching via your favorite search engine for 'ubuntu' and the name of the motherboard you want to see what other people are saying about it.

Can you help with this problem?
