i love this software but there is one thing i'd like to configure

where can i change the 'names' of the applications?

for ex. when i want to run openoffice word processor i have to write 'process' - then it gues what i mean

can i change it - to working like this:

i type: word and then it gueses the rest?

where are the config files etc?

I think it gets the names from your current locales on *.desktop launchers. Like in menu names.

bt it also gets the names of files and folders in home folder, is there any other config files?

You could edit menu name wih the right button over the menu > edit menus. Select the item and changing the name, or creating a new name.
