LAN and Internet problem

I have two pc's in my LAN. In the first pc is installed Windows Vista and in the other one Ubuntu. I can connect to the internet only with one of them at a time, but i want to connect with both of them at the same time.

when i connect with Vista i can't connect with Ubuntu, and the other way around

i have to turn off the pc where is installed Vista, so i can connect to the one with Ubuntu

enable dhcp on your router/switch...and lets know if it works

I have enabled the dhcp, but still it doesnt work, I think there is a problem with the MAC address something, but i am not sure. In the router configuration in my client list the pc with Ubuntu it's not listed. It was before but now it isn't at all.

Changed my router to a switch. Guess it was the router problem
