driver nvidia

salve a tutti.
ho installato i driver nvidia 96.43.09 per una vecchia GeForce 4, ma quando vado ad attivare gli effetti grafici (seleziono normale) non vedo più la barra in alto delle applicazioni (esci, riduc ad icona ecc.).
come fare? con la 8.04 non avevo problemi
