Running Ubuntu off CD-RW

I just want to try Ubuntu (8.04 Desktop Edition) and iv'e got the CD all good but when i try to run it it just freezes and sits there. Is there any way to solve this?

[ My computer is a Toshiba Satellite A100, 1GB RAM, Windows Vista. ]

Although you may be able to use a CD-RW, I believe that CD-R is preferred.

It is alway good to run the CD Intergrity check.

If you still have problem you may need to use some F6 boot parameters/options
