Making install disc for PC on a Mac

I got an old PC w/ no OS I'd like to put Ubuntu 6.06LTS on. My only working computer in the house is an iMac G5. Can I make an install CD for the PC on my Mac? I'm new to all of this and really have no idea where to start. I'd really like a step by step guide.

absoloutely, as long as you can download the disc file from the ubuntu servers, and then burn it to a CD you are fine..

go onto the ubuntu download site, select an architecture and download the .iso, then use osx to burn it to disc, should then work in the PC

download the x86 .iso file

you can burn the .iso to a cd using the 'Disk Utility' program.... you can spotlight it

it's located at /Applications/Utilities/
