fdisk and /sbin/fdisk command not found

Asked by maniosullivan

Hi All,

Having a problem. fdisk and /sbin/fdisk are returning with a command not found reply. Really annoying because im trying to mount an external hard drive. New to ubuntu but not new to computers. The ubuntu OS is installed on my PS3, does this make a difference. Im pretty sure its installed properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also when i hit Ctrl Alt F1 to get into a command line environment, how do i quickly change back to the desktop.(Iv been rebooting every time iv had to go in there, very time consuming).

Cheers,

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the question.

Ctrl Alt F7 gets you back to the graphical desktop.
