how to make it reload apps after reboot

In Kubuntu if i had amsn / firefox / terminal open and reboot / powerdown / powerup - it used to reload these apps at login.

how do i make ubuntu reload these applications after reboot?

Thanks that did the trick, alough only tried it once and amsn nor firefox came back up but terminal did so am guessin that was one of if not i now know where to look,
