How can i give permissions to create,modify and delete files for the user

As i am new to Linux Operating system,can any one guide me how to give permissions to create,modify and delete files for the user.

you can find many guides by searching linux permissions in google. They usually refer to a command-line interface, but the permissions you see after right clicking a file in nautilus and choosing the Permissions tab are exactly the same.
