Ubuntu

As a basic nOOb I tryed merging my disks c and d. It totally screwed my computer. I tryed installing linux because I didn't have the vista boot disk. I tryed to install it but it says the hard disk is damaged. Can anyone help me?

I am currently using a live session and I don't have another computer right now to help my now. So if someone could help me. It is really important. I want to install linux.

First please open a terminal and post the output of the following command

sudo fdisk -lu

Also please clarify what you are trying to do, install ubuntu, install vista, or install both for dual-boot.
