Online store exclusively for linux games?

Asked by ManuPeng

I was wondering if there's a decent looking online store for linux games. Sure I could buy games like Doom 3 on amazon as well, but I'd like to give my money to a linux only store to help create a market for our favorite operating system and send the message there's money to be made on linux with games.

I know, I'm a dreamer... but Rome wasn't built in a day...
I've found tuxgames, but it really doesn't look professional or serious, no offense, but that's doesn't make me feel safe about entering my credit card number.

Any alternatives?

a lot of the 'big' games such as the ones made by Epic or ID often don't have offical linux versions that you can buy but your forced to buy the windows version and just get the linux installer, there are however many comercial linux games though that you can buy :)

at the moment there really isn't any central place for this but rather each company making the games has its own store (i guess thats the definition of indepentant (indie) gaming).

you can find a list of commercial linux games here: (its not all of them though) https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Games#Commercial%20Native%20Ubuntu%20Games

you also might want to take a look at the linux game publishing page: http://www.linuxgamepublishing.com - although on their recent titles they have started to use some rather nasty drm.
