Missing field on shipit page

Asked by MikeR

On Shipit page, pre-ordering a Desktop CD, there is no "number of CDs" field.
Page returns error: "The number of requested CDs was not provided."
Shouln't it have the default of 1 CD?

Not exactly an Ubuntu bug; but there did'nt seem anywhere obvious to report this.

You can go to Special request page and mention no. of CD to be 1 on that page.

It works...

... And according to that page (special request) delivery will take an extra month or so, and may even not be done

Yes agreed... But, something is better than nothing... And again, if you find that the prob is solved, you can "CHANGE" your request later to "Standard Option". However, the page says that less number of CDs will ensure faster processing! SO I feel that although there would be some manual chking on no of CDs, if you put "1" in that field, you will definitely get it...

Me too, it isn't a problem for the server edition where you can choose the 64bit as an option. But it is a problem for Kubuntu.

I really wish we could get more than 1, I remember when I got 55 of Original Ubuntu and gave away most of them. Granted 55 is probably overkill but 10 I could eaiserly hand out.

Hay, it seems that shipit website ppl have solved the matter. The bug has been removed! Thanx (website) maintainers...

By the way if you have already placed a request using a "Special Request" page, then just re-login and "Change" your request to "Standard"... (The the fear raised by MikeR will go away :-) )
