i have many times in different questions...i am somewhat of a newbie to ubuntu and am trying to understand things..forgive me if i seem real slow when it comes to ubuntu.......my problem is for months now i have been trying to play some online games...if u look at some of my 10 other questions u could see my frustration...i know i have java and have read and used sudo to apply it...java.com says i have the newest version and I DO see the dancing logo..and i have flash and shockwave..i am a big fan of pogo.com and slingo.com..but i cant play them...it says i need plugins and when i click to download them it says to install them manually and it takes me to the same page i have been to 100 times.....i already have them!!!!!if i go to pogo it just shows a gray page or the window just dissappears...for slingo it says to install plugin and takes me to that same page...i had fire bug and thats where i got the ....permission denied to call method location.tostring.......i have read alot of forums about this and have done MANY things and nothing works....it did say that firebug was not a good thing and would cause this and to uninstall it and i did...but guess what it still doesnt work...so unfortunatlly i am stuck and have no clue as to who has the right answer...hope this helps u to understand where i am coming from....

This is an all volunteer forum so the act of asking a question doesn't guarantee an answer or that the answer you get will help. Sometime we don't understand the question. Sometimes we don't know the answer. In your case I'm guess it's a bit of both. I can't play games on that sight either so my guess is it's just a lack of Linux support on that sight or that the Linux version of flash is still buggy (which it is). Until Adobe releases a Linux port that is up to speed, you will find sights that don't work right. Good news is that I have heard a new Linux version was released but as far as I know it has to be manually installed. I haven't tried yet because I don't really care if flash works. However, you might want to give it a try. You may have to google search a bit to find info on how to install.
