ATI 9550 75k/59hz intrepid 8.10 beta out or range
Intrepid 8.10 beta is install & working but when i upgrade my GFX ATI Radeon 9550 card upon installation i get this at reboot 75k/59hz frequency is out or range is as far as i can get before it freezes, i have to reset & use x-server to restore o/s with low resolutions gfx does anyone have any solution to my problem TIA Kolb Cheers

Hi Folks problem sort of solved i still get the 75k/59hz frequency is out or range display but for only about 5 to 7 seconds splash screen, now i can change my screen resolutions & have wobbly effects so am Happy as now, uninstalled all ATI drivers then reinstalled seemed to do the trick X Fingers Cheers

I get "frequency is out or range" during startup. I don't have an ATI.
For a while I worked around the problem by adding vga=xxx in the menu.lst as described here: https:/
That worked well for a while, but the next time I installed an update, my change was removed & the problem returned.
