Ubuntu 64bit server wont load desktop

I have installed Ubuntu 64 Bit ed onto a DELL Poweredge (compatable) server, but when I start ubuntu it wont go into the desktop? It just stays at that dos type interface? Can anyone help?

The desktop isnt installed by default but you can install it if you have an internet connection on the server.
Just type
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
then leave it to download and install.
