Stalls at 94% during installation

I am trying to install Ubuntu and it stalls at 94% "config hardware". I bought the CD at Bets Buy and I ran the program to check for errors on the CD. Everyhting OK. I am able to boot from CD. I have a HP a1630n. Any help would be great.

I reinstalled. I now have another question. When i restarted the computer this came up:

[15.982272] MP.BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC mod probe: Fatal: could not load /lib/modules/2.6.24-16-generic/modules.dep: no such file or directory

Says it again

[17.177226] Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init option to kernel

HELP

I bought the CD at Best Buy Yesterday.
