You shouldn't need to find a driver for that. Intel wireless works out of the box with Ubuntu. Is it not working?

Open a terminal (apps - accessories) and type

lspci

That's all lower case LSPCI. Find the line about wireless and paste it here (or all the output if you are not sure). You can't install drivers the way you would in windows (nor can you simply use windows drivers). What version of Ubuntu are you using? I know from as much as 3 years back Intel wifi simply worked.

Dumb question but are you sure the wifi card is turned on? I know laptops like Dells have a switch on the side and some have a keyboard shortcut switch. It's also possible to turn it off in the BIOS. You might check there to make sure it's enabled.

If you only have a windows driver available you can download "ndiswrapper" to run it. That's what I did for my d-link wireless pci card.
i also needed to download "wifi radar" desktop>applications>add/remove>internet.wifi radar, as the network manager utility that comes with Ubuntu doesn't seem to really do it for wireless. Works great wired, though. You will have to use a LAN (DSL or broadband), or (if you are very patient) dial up to down load ndiswrapper and the wireless application. I suggest trying wifi radar first, rather than going down the list alphabetically because it worked for me after I tried all the others.

I am a newbie, I have had this Linux computer only a couple weeks, so this answer might not be the best help, but I thought I'd share what worked for me.

Can you help with this problem?
