You might want to have a look at here (http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-HEWLETT-PACKARD). I can't find your specific scanner there, but maybe you know an similar Scanner with another Name.

I'm glad, that i could help you, but would you please tell me (us) how you solved your Problem?
Or have you just found out, that your Scanner won't work with Linux?

I'm going to get a scanner that is on the list.Thankyou for pointing me in the right direction as I have only just installed linux any help is appreciated.
