How to delete an os?

I have dual os in my laptop.first one is Suse 10.1 and second is ubuntu 8.04, I am having problem with suse and i need to completely delete the suse os from ubuntu os. how to delete? after deleting i want to use suse partition from ubuntu? how can i make this> please help i am new to ubuntu

First of all, make sure that you have backed up any data from your Suse OS that is important to you!

Second, use System->Administration->Partition Editor within Ubuntu. You should be able to delete your SuSe partition, and/or reformat it for use with Ubuntu.

Be careful! Read the documentation at http://gparted.sf.net to learn how to use the Partition Editor.

This solved my problem but suse os still showing up in grub line while loading,how to delete that & make ubuntu as default os
