update ubuntu to 13

I have ubuntu release 9.04 installed and I want to update to release 14

9.04 reached the end of its life October 23, 2010.

You need a new install, not an update.

You have a long long way to upgrade. I suggest you perform a last full backup then wipe the old install out and do a clean install of Ubuntu 16.04 (Codenamed Xenial). Xenial is LTS and supported until April 2021
