OpenOffice should be able to open Microsoft Office files if that's what you're referring to. Linux can't run Windows software (obviously) so just running MS Office 2007 wont work but there is a chance it will work with Wine (lets you use Windows applications on Linux). To keep an eye on if it works in Wine, check the Application Database : http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=10 (looks like it currently doesn't).

At the moment OpenOffice.org can't open the OpenXML format files made with Office 2007, but this will become a feature in a later version. (The Novell edition can already open these files)

However, Gnumeric can open Office 2007 spreadsheet files.

CrossoverOffice will probably have a better chance of running Office 2007 than Wine will.

Thanks for the comments, I did not want to install Office2007 in Linux, I just wanted to edit and read files. Good to know it is coming.
