No sound after installing ubuntu 8.04

Hi
Gnome version is 2.22.2
Ubuntu version is 8.04
My laptop is Acer Aspire 5051
and in the Sound Properties page, the default Value for "Default Mixer Track" is "HDA ATI SB ( Alsa mixer )
But there is no sound at all

Pls help. TQ very much in advance

Hi.
I m happy to informed that i hv managed to resolved my sound problem
already. I just installed Alsa Mixer and up the Surround sound and
that all to it.
