Will this laptop work with compiz fusion/beryl/whatever?

Asked by Justin White

Okay. I am getting a laptop for Chirstmas. I need one in the $450-$500 price range. This is just one I am looking at. I have completely switched over to Ubuntu recently, from Microsoft Windows. So, I am not so smart on the hardware side of Ubuntu. Will this laptop support the compiz fusion (or whatever it's called) effects? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10204453

Thanks. If not, can you find me something on walmart.com that would?

Dell has actually started selling PC´s with Ubuntu preinstalled. You may want to consider the Inspiron 1525N.

Since these come with Ubuntu preinstalled, I am sure there are now hardward conflicts and compiz works flawlessly.

Hope this helps
