pidgin-festival speak plugin, stopped working.

Asked by Bob

I have the plugin for pidgin messenger to speak the message to me. Was working great & so helpful for me. now it's gone quite?
bad eyes with small print and slow typing is where I'm at. so this was so cool to have.
I've looked around on the web but can't find any info about it.
I've looked around on my computer for festival but can't find anything, but software center shows I have it?
Does it run as a stand-alone thing or does it run off of something else I don't know about? so many I don't know on this one, So I just don't know what to do to get it back on.

Log off then select the guest account. It's present in a default install (or did you remove it?)

it was removed or bypassed I don't need it. I'm the only one that uses my computer.

I was on the road so I was gone for some time.

also it shows I have orca. on synaptic package manager and software center.
But can't find it. to try it. I thought maybe it worked with festival. but even after reinstalling, it's not there??
