installed ubuntu 16.04 on Lenovo TS140. Says no operating system on boot up. Boot setup to use hard drive.

Asked by srinath

Recently purchased Lenovo TS140 ThinkServer.
Installed 2 hard drives with Raid 1 and 16GB memory.
Installed ubuntu 16.04 last week from an image from Linux2dvd from Amazon.
Initial install got stuck at Landscape-client step when i chose auto updates using Landscape management.
I tried again by choosing manual updates.

When i boot up, it constantly says "no operating system"

Tried Legacy mode, tried reinstall etc. Nothing is working.

Appreciate any help.

Have you set the boot device correctly?
Is the RAID created in the server then presented to installer as a drive, or are you using software RAID set up in the Ubuntu installer?
