Nautilus tree view current directory

Asked by Girish Sharma

In the tree view pane, Nautilus shows and highlights the last directory opened by the tree view pane but not the last directory opened by the right side pane. Multiple subdirectories can be opened in the right side pane, while the tree view still shows and highlights a higher level directory. How can I configure Nautilus to always show and highlight the currently open directory in the tree view pane? I don't want to have to always check the location line above to know which directory is open.

I would also like to configure Nautilus so that a single click on the directory name in the tree view pane expands it, rather than having to click the small expand/collapse icon next to the name. How can I configure this behavior?

the default for nautilus is to highlight wherever you are in the right side panel, it sounds like your experiancing a bug, you should make sure to post a bug report.

Can you help with this problem?
