Downloaded a MMO game for debian and it wont open

I just installed Eve-Online Debian version. When I launch the game from the application menu, the game appears to start but then it disappears. The game ran fine when I had it installed for XP. I am new to Ubuntu and any help would be appreciated.

you might want to try finding out the name of the executionable and running it from the command line so that you can see any error messages.

because of the nature of this program, namely that its not a standard ubuntu application and closed source, means that you might find it hard to get support for it here, you might want to try asking in the eve-online support channels
