Salaam.

Install Persian language support: System -> Administration -> Language Support

Check the box next to Persian and apply.

Add Persian keyboard layout: System -> Preferences -> Keyboard

Under Layouts tab, add the keyboard layout (Iran/Persian).

Add keyboard layout changer: Right-click on a panel (top or bottom of screen), "Add to Panel", and add the Keyboard Indicator. By clicking on this you can change the keyboard to Persian and write in Persian.

If you want to change Ubuntu's interface to Persian, log out, click on "Options" and change the language to Persian. You can then log in and Ubuntu will be in Persian.

You might also want to install the Persian font packages ttf-farsiweb and ttf-freefarsi.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi
Try
Shift + Caps Lock
in natty (11.04)
or
Right Alt + Left Alt
in previous version.
To customize short cut follow the following road
System Settings --> keyboard --> option --> key(s) to change layout
Select one combinations.
Sincerely

سلام
در Natty که همان ubuntu 11.04 است پیش فرض تغییر صفحه کلید
Shift + Caps Lock
شده است. در نسخه‌های پیشین
Right Alt + Left Alt
برای تغییر صفحه کلید به کار برده می‌شده است.
همچنین برای سفارشی کردن صفحه کلید کارهای زیر را انجام دهید
System Settings --> keyboard --> option --> key(s) to change layout
سپس ترکیب دلخواه خود را برگزینید
تندرست باشید
