guest session pops up saying I will lose all data unless I save on disk

When I restart computer Guest session pops up giving me only one option to choose saying I will lose all data if I don't save to a disk. When I click on OK which is the only option I lose all my files.

If you want to keep data, then you have to log in with a named user, not as a guest.
Do you know the name of the user that was given when installing the system (and its password)?
Log in as guest, use the icon in the to top right corner to log off, and then log on as that named user.
