Eclipse Installation

Asked by selie

 Hi all,

I have just installed Eclipse by downloading a tarball file. Using the Applications -> Add/Remove then choosing eclipse could have done the trick but I also needed WTP plugin. Now my problem is, I would like to add eclipse to the Applications' Programming Menu but I do not know how.. Is there anyone out there who has done this..
By the way, eclipse is working fine but I am invoking it from the command line..

Thanks a lot

Hi, you can use "Alacarte" to add Eclipse to the Applications/Programming Menu.

Just do - sudo apt-get install alacarte
then
sudo alacarte
