avast in ubuntu hardy

i downloaded and installed avast home edition for linux on ubuntu. it was installed successfully but i can't see its icon on the desktop or in the applications. so how do i run the avast antivirus program?

avast's installation does not create an icon.

You can run in terminal:
"avast" to run a scan.
"avast-update" to update avast's virus data.
"avastgui" for a GUI interface.
