how can I add a lpd printer in intrepid?

Asked by Nicolò Chieffo on 2008-09-24

I have an asus router wich exports the usb printer connected to it, using a lpd server.
in the old hardy printer config I could select LPD/LPR printer, then I manually entered the ip address and printing queue.

Why intrepid has removed LPD/LPR support in the configuration dialog?

Can't answer this question properly since it's been closed, but here's the solution:
In the New Printer dialog select Other as the connection type and enter your lpd's server ip like this:
lpd://ip-of-the-router/queue

in my case it's lpd://192.168.0.1/nt

hope this helps.
