usb wireless key problem

Asked by Wovarine on 2008-09-23

Hi,
i have a wireless key: 3com OfficeConnect. I installed the 2 .inf files with dsgtk and i have the following problems:

1) If i turn on the pc with the key connected i can't use the key. It isn't recognised by the pc, even if i disconnect and reconnect it. However if i turn on the pc with the key disconnected and connect it, i can use it.

2) From the moment i installed dsgtk, sometimes ubuntu stops working.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Show us the output for the following command for your wireless device.

$ lsusb

Perhaps you should also try play with different key settings

This is what it says. In the list there isn't the usb device but now i'm using it to connect to internet.

It seems: the Bus 005 Device 004: ID a727:6893 id is:

Card: 3COM 3CRUSB20075, 108mbps - USB

Hope this helps a bit
