How to launch JACDd?

Asked by Uqbar

I have installed the jackd daemon from the repository and was expecting a /etc/init.d/jackd script to launch it, as well as a /etc/jack for the configuration.
None is present. Any hint?
Buy the way, the repository description is missing the web url "for more info" (http://jackaudio.org/),
Thanks,

Where's the gui?
I installed the package but none worked as a gui!
Maybe I'm missing something!
Thanks.

It seems that jack-tools didn't have the gui, You need to install qjackctl package to have gui, Sorry,
