Hi,

Please first try this:

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal
and type:

aumix

then press enter to launch the aumix program. Increase all the volume bars in aumix.

In the same terminal, also run alsamixer. Increase all the volume bars in alsamixer.

Close and reopen the video player and try again.

If sound is still not working (in any application at all), please try following this guide:

Taked from http://divilinux.netsons.org/index.php/archives/642

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo sh -c 'echo options snd-hda-intel model=lenovo >>/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base'

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Reboot your pc and try.

Hope this helps
