How Can I Install Songbird Without Installing Firefox?

Asked by taurus

I downloaded songbird in .deb. When I tried to install the package, I read on the installer that in order to install songbird, it is required that I also install firefox. I don't want to install firefox at all. Is there any way to install songbird without firefox?

.

I don't think so, however why are you against installing Firefox, it won't make any difference to your installation.

If songbird depends on Firefox, then you'll have to let it install firefox. You can carry on using opera anyway. Firefox shouldn't take up that much space on your hard drive.

Can you help with this problem?
