is it possible to load on a second hard drive

 i have a mac g4 with two hard drives ,one is empty is it possible to run ubunutu on the empty drive and still dual boot.
 i have the ppc disc and thats how i am sending this
any help would be usefull

Yes, if I understood correctly;

You have an OS X disc and an empty one. And you wish to install ubuntu on the empty one, and dual-booting between the two?
