trying to load on a freshly formated hd

i have laptop that has nothing on it but the dell stuff no do i need to wait for the disks to come or should the downloaded burned disks work

If you burnt the ISO image correctly, yes.

If it does not work, you might have to configure your BIOS to allow the laptop boot from CD. Anyway, mailed disks are the same as downloaded and burned disks, provided you did it correctly.
