missing HDD ??

Asked by Ulquiorra

I'm new to Ubuntu and Linux but the problem is that i have 3 HDDs in my PC, but in "places / computer" i only have "floppy1"(btw i don't have a floppy) "CD-ROM1"(guess that must be my CD-ROM, but not mounted ?) and file system (I assume that is my HDD / C:/ ?? ), that equals that theres missing a HDD, so my question is how to mount the CD-ROM, how to remove the FLOPPY, and how to show and access my last HDD??

Welcome, things are a little different, but you will quickly figure it out. The way to see what file systems it sees and are set up correctly is to browse to "file system" then find the "media" folder, all cd-roms and extra hard drives should be listed in that location.

If you would like to learn more I would suggest taking a look at http://www.freeos.com/articles/3102/

Just substitute /media with /mnt in the article.
