don't no user name or password

can not log on or start. all i see is user name typed in the name i was told and used the pass word i was told and nothing says it wrong name and pass word. what now anyway to bypass? any default names or pass words?

Theoretically, you could boot into Recovery Mode, drop to a root shell and read users or setup a new one.

Practically, this should only be done if you're operating on your own system. Since you were given username and pass, this seems not to be the case. Contact your admin.
