Struck at install screen

Hi,
      I downloaded latest version 16.04 64bit iso file and used rufus to flash it to a USB drive. And rebooted the laptop to install it.
      The usb drive was loaded properly and i choose option to install ubuntu.
      Then a screen with ubuntu logo and 5 dots moving as a progress bar comes up.
      It gets struck there, doesn't go further. Please help me out. I also tried with ubuntu 14.04. Its the same issue.

are you sure you installed it properly or if your prosseser can handle it
