does ubuntu 16.10 work on a windows tablet?

Hi!I bought recently a windows tablet (odys winpad x9) and I wonder if I can install Ubuntu 16.10 on it.If it works, can I install a normal desktop image or should I use a specific one?I also want to find out if all the devices on the system (ex: camera,wi-fi card, touchscreen, sound card) could operate with this OS.The tablet has an Intel Atom z3735f SoC with 2 gb of RAM installed.Thank you!
