From beta to stable 7.04

Asked by thegnby

Just downloaded and successfully installed 7.04 beta. Will i have to download a new iso file when 7.04 is finally released as a stable version or is it possible to go from beta to stable via the automated updates?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Just keep applying the updates as prompted by the update manager.
Once Feisty is released you will get more updates which brings you in line with the release. Afterwards you'll keep getting updates as normal.

You can always move to a new version changing the repositories (/etc/apt/sources.list dapper->edgy->feisty and with:

 sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Careles, that is not what was originally asked and further that method is NOT recommended for upgrading.
