Help with atheros wifi!

I cant get my wifi working. I have a atheros wifi card and it recognizes it when i type lspci as Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter and then i type iwconfig and i get lo no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions. so please help me get this thing working

atheros hardware layer access layer is found in the hardware drivers and is enabled but still dosent work
