Get software listed in the universe repository

I have a small open source software project (http://rsachetto.googlepages.com/) and I would like to if is there any chance of the software being added to the Ubuntu universe repository.

I don't have enough experience to make my own packages (I use checkinstall to do that), so is there anybody that can help me with this?
